The world had expected a walkover. The world woke up to one of the biggest elections shocks in history. As a Paper of Record, The Times needed unbiased, reactionary creative to sum up the mood.

Biden vs Trump
After the previous four years of Republican rule, The Times and The Sunday Times needed to make US election coverage feel essential to a UK audience. Strained international relationships and a divided nation meant more UK readers wanted to stay well-informed on the presidential race this time.
